DAY SEVEN
Two words: Action Packed! As our last actual day of the tour (meaning the last day of group activities), we have a lot to get through! Glasnevin Cemetery is the first stop of the day. While the cemetery is amazing, the Botanic Gardens in the back corner are a show stopper. We depart the cemetery in route for Bru na Bonnie site to grab a quick bite and check out the exhibitions. We take minibuses to Newgrange and Knowth-- by far one of the most amazing and intriguing parts of the tour. We end with a farewell dinner. So, if you'd eager to jump to the end-- click below. Or, join me step-by-step through our final day as a group in Ireland.

Glasnevin Cemetery
Home to many notable people, Ireland's National Cemetery is the largest burial place in the country holding over 1.5 million people. The most iconic and noticeable part of the cemetery is O'Connell Tower; a large monument atop of Daniel O'Connell's grave. O'Connell is cited for pushing for the opening of a cemetery where Catholics and Protestants could be buried together.
Our tour guide let us know that it would be good luck to rub O'Connell's coffin. After we all cashed in on our luck, we were let in on a secret: that it might actually be bad luck. The superstitious person in me was on edge for the rest of the day!

The Last Group Dinner
This night was bittersweet. In the basement of the restaurant, our group occupies two large tables to mingle and we get one more chance to exchange numbers. Our guides pass out group photos, coasters, and (for the young members of the group like Kaylee and I) a small sheep charm. We would not be leaving our group with an Irish goodbye, but rather full and happy. We'd walk back in small groups to the hotel one last time.
